About Privacy First

privacyfrist.ch was founded by me, Christian Kläy, with the aim of offering small and medium-sized enterprises in Switzerland practical and legally compliant support in data protection.

I combine legal expertise with an eye for the essentials and work in a solution-oriented, efficient and understandable manner – without unnecessary bureaucracy, but with a clear focus on legal certainty and feasibility.

My self-image

Data protection doesn't have to be complicated—but it does need to be structured and well-thought-out. I support companies in realistically meeting legal requirements while simultaneously streamlining internal processes.

My approach:

  • clear prioritization according to risk and relevance

  • Increased efficiency thanks to customization of tried-and-tested templates

  • Accompaniment at eye level – in a language that is understood

My background

I have many years of experience in data protection consulting – both in-house as data protection officer for an international company and as an external consultant in a leading Swiss law firm.

In addition, I have led projects to implement data protection management systems and been involved in the development of legal tech solutions.

Education & Profile

  • MLaw, University of Bern (magna cum laude)

  • Attorney at Law, Canton of Bern

  • Long-standing specialization in data protection law (DSG / GDPR)

  • Technical understanding through initial scientific training

  • Entrepreneurial thinking thanks to legal tech experience

  • Languages: German, English

This is how I work

  • Structured but flexible

  • Legally sound, but clearly explained

  • Efficient, solution-oriented, reliable

For more complex projects or special questions, I rely on a small network of specialists, e.g., for IT security or industry-specific topics.

Whether with tried-and-tested templates, individual advice or as an external data protection officer.

With Privacy First you are on the safe side.

I will work with you to analyze the need for action and show you the most efficient path to becoming a data protection-compliant company.
